7 Realms -- Heaven, Purgatory, Conciousness, Mortal, Death, and the Underworld.

As a reminder, the 7 realms are: Heaven, Hell, Purgatory, Mortal, Underworld, Death, and Consciousness.

Let's cover heaven first.

The souls of the pious or those who confessed their sins and paid for them with no excuses and show actual remorse (Xanda respects that and tends to give lighter sentences.) find themselves in paradise. Heaven is not like most would think, however, as it has an infinite amount of space and each soul receives a share of it based on their actions. This share of Heavens land takes whatever form the person believes to be paradise. However souls only stay for a certain period of time before they are reincarnated.

Now for Purgatory.
Purgatory is a prison and a waiting room all in one. For the souls too good to go to hell but too sinful to go to heaven. Souls here must wait until their sins are cleared up and are then reincarnated. The conditions aren't nearly as bad as hell, where souls can never hope to escape.

Consciousness:
This realm was created along with all conscious thought. Dubbed the "Khalaria Anoo" or just the Khal'oo by the alien visitors who unlocked Gaea's psionic potential, this realm makes up all of the conscious thoughts in existence and all conscious thought in existence makes up the Khal'oo. This realm is unique in that it can take the form of a living, breathing, person. This being, called Metempsychosis, is known for the greatest amount of Presence...however, even non-psionics have reported having powerful migraines after going near it and one report claims that a psionics head "suddenly exploded after screaming in immense pain" as it passed by.

Mortal:
The realm of mortals is the realm that the people of Gaea live, play, learn, laugh, cry, and all that other good stuff.

Death:
The realm of the dead is similar to the realm of mortals. However, time stands still, space twists and turns, physics have no meaning, water has neither lift nor presence. that sort of thing.

The Underworld:
Possibly the most frightening and mysterious of the realms. Few people have even been there, fewer have come out alive, and even fewer still didn't come out a bumbling, insane mess of what they once were. The general consensus is: Do not go there...ever...
